I’m sure you have heard that saying many a time!
But what does it really mean?
To succeed, we have to fail. When we fail we learn.
I guess you can say the people who have had success are the ones who failed continuously and have learned!
Never be scared or fearful to do something new, something you have never done before.
This is what will set you apart from others. This is where faith and your instincts come into play.
If you have faith, and belief in yourself then success will come eventually if not right away.
Some people have a fear to succeed. This in itself will stop them from ever reaching their full potential.
Set aside your self limiting belief. Set aside the doubt you have in yourself.
So the best thing is to begin with the end in mind.
What is it that you are setting out to achieve?
Have this foremost in your mind and the how will come.
Don’t try and work it out just set yourself your goal.
Sometimes the problem is we don’t set ourselves a big enough goal and therefore when we do achieve it we don’t have that sense of satisfaction.
So go out there and set yourself a bigger goal, one that you know if it’s achieved will be through the success that you have had and the faith you have had and the positiveness that you have had in yourself, not just by luck!

This is An area that I get the most questions about. When you first start a network marketing or home business, you need to be focused. You need to ensure that you have a strategy and a plan. You need to identify your niche, and what activities you’re going to be doing to provide for that niche.
It is often where you start a home business or network marketing company and you’re not clear or sure about what services you are providing, you can get distracted , and even go off track. You get distracted by the offers of free lead generation, or targeted leads, or additional income through affiliate marketing which may or may not be congruent with the current business you are in.
Whilst I advocate for you to sign up to receive information that will help you grow your online business, be aware that the same email autoresponder service will also supply other opportunities and affiliate marketing products that may throw you off track with your home business.
Whilst we are all grown up, and sensible enough to know and understand that a network marketer has more than one finger in the pie, we should also be clear for our own programs what will and will not fit.
It is no point being offended by being bombarded with emails from a email auto responder service if on the whole the information provided is of value, then use the information and be aware of temptation.
My advice for managing overwhelm is to be clearly focused on what it is you’re trying to achieve and deliver in your home business area. Most of it you already know. There is lots of great FREE resource out there including some stuff in this blog.
Unsubscribe yourself to the noise and begin to work on your weak areas yourself. Make a list of the things you would want to master online. Then check out your current business or marketing resource in the first instance, if her is none then go search the web to find some.
If you want to know more about facebook marketing, then go look up Michelle Pescosclido or Jessica Higdon, these are two great ladies that have free and paid information available on Facebook recruiting for little or no cost.
Look at creating a daily method of operation. Stick to it!
If there is an area in your business that you are not clear off, then go out and find someone who is able to help you in that area. Sometimes we have to pay to learn, or to be coached, but this can be money well spent, as the results in the long run can yield much more on your return.
Also you can do some online research to see what FREE resource is out there. This may be through Google plus, blogs, or Facebook groups. Master that area before you move on to the next area you would like to improve.

get pre orders.
Start by mailing your list with special offers. People
love special offers, I know I do.
If you add ‘specials’ this will makeyour service or
product unique and make sure it’s enticing.
How you present it to your customers is equally as

well as postage if need be.

Listened to a great training call with Michelangelo Perez in Empower Network and he shares how to get your ‘list’ converting super fast no matter what Biz Op or MLM you are promoting…
Most people think they have to collect a HUGE list over 20k or more. Let me tell you after listening to Michelangelo this is a pure myth.
He earned over $400k with a list size of 13K. Personally my list is no where near this size, more like a couple of thousand, but hey we all got to start somewhere, right!
What I learned
List size does not matter.
It’s how you engage and interact with your list that will get people to open your emails and eventually ‘bond’ with you and build that trust and rapport.
You know you have made it when you still starts responding to your emails, you know they are engaging with you.
Leads are like fine wine, they need to mature with time. There will be people on your list that will wait to see if you succeed, they will be waiting to see if you jump into other programmes. There will be leads waiting to get to see if you are genuine or not, and that takes time.
Whatever it is you are promoting, you need to put all your eggs in one basket and watch it grow. You need to be consistent with your message, your content, your allegiance with the business you are promoting.
Driving leads to your landing or Biz Op page -99% have been beat up by a MLM Biz Op, or their sponsor has entered the witness protection program and gone underground, or they are already in an MLM or Biz Op.
The person who wins is the person instead of sending an email to join my program, send out value that will help them. The person who wins is the person who says I can help you no matter what you are already in.
When you position yourself to help someone no matter what they are in, you will be the one who they turn to.
Take the time out to create valuable content, videos, podcasts, blog posts. Send something out that is passionate from the heart, that you have learned.
Build a TRIBE not a list. Tribes, will stick with you, people can unsubscribe from lists.
If you share what you are doing with your business, with your teams, how you are recruiting and getting results, this may be useful to others.
You have to focus on one business at a time, if you are in Mary Kay, Amway or Visalus, if you put all your eggs in one basket and focus you will succeed.
Collect email addresses – this is the key to building your list, but building rapport will help you maintain and keep your list.
When you treat your list right, you list will treat you right.
Become A Good Copy Cat
- Subscribe to people who are making a splash in the business arena that you are wanting to get into
- it’s not just about subscribing to the gurus list, look at newbies, look at the people who have taken coaching programmes, look at what they are doing, and you will get the benefit of the coaching that they have PAID for… for FREE!
- swipe copy and make it your own – don’t just take a straight copy and blatently re-use it. It is someone else’s copyright material, make it your own, use the same sentiments to get the message across.
- use videos that you have viewed where you have had value, and re make it with your own ideas and swing on things.
Biggest Mistakes Marketers Do:
- Spend alot of money on marketing / solo ads and you don’t email enough
- Remember that the emails you collect are not unique to you, they will be on others lists. It is how you promote yourself and the content that will help them that will get people opening your emails and reading them.
- Autoresponders are not the answser to getting people to convert. It is a uniformed message that thousands of others are also sending out.
- Other people / gurus will be in their inbox. What are you doing to stand out?
- Just because they are in your list, doesn’t mean they will buy your products.
Converting to Your List
- The person who collects and converts the most leads is the one who is just being yourself.
- It takes time to build rapport, but providing value to your list in a consistent way will help to build rapport
- Be yourself, and only promote one product to your list (if you have to segregate your list for products, then do so, it will reap rewards, as you will look consistent and not a person who jumps from programme to programme.
- Invite people to connect with you via video message, podcasts or through your blog.
- What other offers are you providing to people who do join up with you? how will it benefit them and not just you? It’s how you communicate, talk to, email and encourage your list that will get them to open your emails and not delete it.

What you are about to read is the most shocking down to earth truth that will ever be told by someone who works from home.
Most people when thinking about a work from home business do so under duress, under stress, due to the fact that they want to get out of their current job, Or because they need an additional income fast.
They don’t often take the time to find out about the business opportunity or the home business that they are looking at in thorough detail.
And nine times out of 10 become really disappointed in the short period of time about not being able to rake in a load of money. Starting up any business you have to learn, learning takes time. It’s not something that you can just jump in and get to grips with in a matter of hours it could take weeks or months or years to hone your skill. Doctors don’t become doctors overnight they have to study for at least eight years minimum before they are qualified in a particular profession.
Most apprenticeships take 3 to 4 years to complete, after you have qualified that you begin to hone your skills and could take a further 3 to 4 or five years before you are classed as an expert in your arena.
There is a myth that working from home is easy, that any business you start-up you should be able to see the money rolling in quite quickly. Whoa…
Not the case. Do you want a regular income or just quick bucks.
Personally, I would prefer to have a regular income. Network marketing gives you an opportunity to earn a residual income. What does that mean? Pretty much like a recording artist who gets royalties for a song they have recorded and each time it is played they get paid.
There is also a myth that you can start a home business from nothing.
Very few businesses start from nothing, there is always capital that needs to be put into starting a home business. How much, depends on the type of business and what type of return you are looking to make.
There are many types of home businesses out there, from online businesses to online/off-line businesses, different industries different categories.
There will be many that approach you with a business opportunity, that you really need to look at the fit with yourself ethnically and if it’s something that you can see yourself using and finding benefit of as well as those around you
It takes a certain type of person to be able to work from home. Your mindset needs to change, this can only be done if you are open to change. Let’s face it, when we left school and many of us did not continue to read or educate ourselves in our normal 9-to-5. There wasn’t a need to, unless you’re in the type of industry where you need to keep up your qualifications and keep on top of their next qualification trend needed to help you climb up the corporate ladder.
When you work for yourself, there is a lots of training you need to take time and effort to putting. You need to learn how to be a good negotiator, and marketer, a telesales person, and editor, a press release officer I could go on. Effectively, you are a one man or woman band and need to have many different skill sets. This you will develop over time, or you could outsource some.
There will be times when you feel overwhelmed, with the amount of information to learn in your new business opportunity. Sometimes this can lead to you doing nothing at all. This is where you need to be able to plug in to the community within your opportunity and talk to others who have gone through similar and have come out the other side.
After being in your opportunity for a couple of months, and maybe you don’t see any income coming in you can get discouraged. After all, your sponsor made it sound so easy you should of had money rolling in from day one!
I would just like to say is that it does take time to start up your home business and get into a flow and regular routine. What I’m saying is that if you follow the strategy of your company and listen to and be guided by the person who bought you in, then you should see yourself making an income quite quickly.
Now the reality is that some home businesses the person who recruited you is not necessarily a good sponsor. What I mean by this?
There are some people who just go out there recruit, recruit, recruit. But they don’t follow up with helping those new recruits to build their own business. This could be inexperience on their own part, or just the way that their business model goes.
However a responsible sponsor Will ensure that they put to the new recruit on the proven system that works in their business model. As someone who has been recruited, it is also your responsibility to make sure you are getting the training you feel you deserve from the person who sponsored you in. You need to be able to take responsibility for your learning and development within your own home business and to putting the time and effort required to building your business accordingly.
Get To know their upline sponsor as this may be the person who you may need to refer to help you ultimately to build your business.
If you’re feeling pressure to with your current full-time job, then how do you expect to successfully ran a home business putting yourself under more stress and pressure, unless you have a strong reason why.
Let’s face it if you have no time then what are you going to do about it for the future to make time for yourself?
If you want to get out of the rut of not having enough time for yourself then you possibly need to create more time and look at the dead time in your current schedule or even sacrificing time in a short term for a long-term gain!
Your reason or your WHY is really important
Have you really thought about why you want to work from home? The reason and why you will succeed all depends on how strongly you feel on your WHY.
The need to succeed works best when there is dire emergency.
Think about it!
People who have the most to lose push themselves to the point of not making failure an option. When you want something so bad you go out and do things that you never have done before. It is the fact that you have never done things before that make you get to where you are going and have the things you have never had.
When looking at a home business, make sure that you understand the reason why you are going out there to start a home business. If you lose focus you can always come back to the reason why you are doing this. This is why it is really important to be clear when you’re starting a home business the reason why you are doing it in the first place to try not to lose sight of that
Success does not come easy to many of us. There are lessons that we learn along the way. There are also shortcuts that can be taken, from those around us who have already trodden down this beaten path.
The one thing I have learned is to never give up. To pursue something wholeheartedly for at least 90 days and see where this takes you.

Sometimes, we just have to step back and look at what we currently have. If you’re like me you probably have a lot of information that you have already signed up for, programmes, books you have bought, groups you have joined and a mentor you could be calling on for support but for whatever reason you haven’t.
Look at what you already have. If you are in a business opportunity then look to their training library. Nine times out of 10 you will find valuable information there that will help you grow your business with out you having to look any further.
Sometimes having too much information can make us do nothing at all. We therefore sabotaged ourselves and our business.
If you feel this way too, then here are a few tips that I have found useful along the way. Start your month right. What do I mean by this?
1. Reflect on your previous months activities, look at what you did really well, what you could have done better, why you didn’t achieve fully what you set out to do. The secret here is to not take too long to reflect because to often if we look back into the past we miss what is happening in the present and that could possibly impact on our future
2. Celebrate your victories, it is important to do seven recognise when you have made major achievements
3. Look at resetting your goals and your objectives for the coming month. Make sure they are smart and achievable in the timescales that you have given yourself
4. Plan your daily method of operation, the actions you will be taking on a daily basis to achieve your goals and your objectives
5. Make yourself accountable to others, declare what your objectives and goals are. If you do this publicly it is more likely you will push yourself to work towards those goals
6. Find a good group to network and connect with on a day-to-day basis. This will give you the motivation you need to become a success.
7. Regularly take time to reflect on how things are going this could be daily weekly or monthly.
8. Repeat the above!

It’ s going to be an exciting event, this is where I get to meet my colleagues who we normally chat on facebook, or google hangouts. It is also where I network and learn and take away what’s working and what is not. Most important of all it is a ‘tool’ that I can use for getting people who are interested in my home business to take a closer look and where they can have business presentation given by someone much higher up the compensation plan that I am right now!
The next BIG Regional event that is happening in VI UK for us in the UK is in September 28th and I have already booked myself in for this. At the last event in Brimingham it was held at the NEC there were over 3,000 people – considering we had only just opened in the UK, I am excited at how many more will now be in the London event at the end of September.
Why is it important to go to events of this kind?
It’s a “no brainer”, really,
If you were in a full time job, these events would be considered
Business Networking seminars and great places to network with others and learn new skills or about the latest products or services about the industry you are in.
If you are serious about your home business, you should be treating it as if
it were a million dollar industry, not just a hobby, or something that earns
you cash on the side.

3. You can get valuable photos which all help with creditability in your business
4. Because they are actually a lot of fun!

6. Opportunity to create a Joint Venture (JV) Collaborate with others and build on ideas for future profitability
7. Makes you go away and review your business strategy, and where you are going with your business
8. Advice for bring your business up to the next level
9. Recognition – you get to walk the stage and show others your achievements.

If you’ve never attended a business events your business is missing out on losing lots of money.
What I mean by this?
At business event not only will you get a higher level of training from people who have been there done that and have the t-shirt. You also get an opportunity to network with new people, with people who have been in the business for awhile and with people who have been a success in their business and are making 6 to 7 figure incomes.
It’s a great opportunity to interview some of these people who have become a success in their primary marketing business and find out some of their work ethics some of their secrets some of the things that they are doing to make them a success.
It’s also a great opportunity to take photos with people who are successful in your primary business and to make blog posts out of the speakers that will show you in yourself are a leader and you in yourself are interested in masterminding with successful people.
Normally people at these marketing events who are successful charge a lot of money for their time coaching others here you having an opportunity to get access to these high income earning marketers to get exposure for yourself and for your business
Company events also boost your motivation and get you going. It has been shown that people who attend company events come back in their business really start to takeoff and may finally get it and start to an income that they’d only previously trained off before.
If there’s an event coming up in your company I would suggest you attending.

Why would I join another network marketing company?
This is a question I have been asked by prospects and other network marketers looking to join my primary company. I updated this post from last year as I felt it was still relevant and appropriate to provide valuable feedback on.
We have all seen or possibly been a part of the 2008 property crash. If you were involved in property and looked to this as your main source of investment / income, then you may have seen your dreams turn to a nightmare.
I was one of those people. I had invested in a US property about three months or so before the crash happened, this wiped out a huge amount of my savings as I put nearly everything into property as it was to go towards my pension income.
I and many others learned a tough lesson.
To build your income on one area is not only fool hardy, but what if for any reason the company behind the products or services go belly up? Where are you and your income then?
So, yes, it is best to look at having more than one area of income. Joining a second marketing company is a way to ensure you have a steady income especially if you are a full time worker. However, you don’t want to be hopping around to different companies and not making a dime. So how do you get the balance right?
Let me point out here, there is no right way or wrong way. Consider mastering one network marketing company first before moving on to ‘adding’ another to your tool kit so to speak.
So how long do you stick with one network marketing company?
3 months, 6 months a year?
Personally, I would give it my all for 6 months and if you don’t see something positive within the first 90 days, or so, then look at what you are doing or not doing? have you copied what the leaders are doing? The best way to earn money is to model on someone who is earning the type of income you are looking to make.
Are you giving this 100%, or are you being doubtful? If its the second, then its no wonder things arent happening for you right away.
Your attitude to your business should be one of having a multi million dollar company. You have to think big and take BIG action.
Why would you do this!
The cost of starting a home business can vary, from nothing, to $2k or more in some cases. Just because it costs less than a traditional bricks and mortar business does not mean that you should treat it any less. Most 7 figure income earners started their home business the same way you or I did. f you think of your business as a 7 figure a year company, it will grow to that level. If you think its a bit of extra cash on the side then that is what it will always be.
Granted, it does take time to set yourself up into one network marketing company. I would advocate that you start earning an income, using a funded proposal platform to generate regular income from your network marketing company. It’s preferable if you are able to do this in the first 90 days. As this will help to build your creditability online.
Once you have marketed making money with one network marketing company, you should find you are able to do this over and over again no matter what the industry or product. However, you may want to look at starting a company that fits with your current opportunity, one that compliments, as this will make it easier to market the two alongside each other.
